Comments From Wine Buyer Steve
Our company prides itself on dealing with some of the most awarded wineries in Australia. We find that these wineries put the most love and passion into their wines and the supplier of this McLaren Vale The Peak Chardonnay 2019 is no exception. This great Chardonnay 2019 has only spent 6 months in French oak which has not overpowered the fruit. It is very well balanced. Sensational value at $12.00 per bottle.
My Score 90/100 – WACC Silver Medal.
What is Chardonnay
Chardonnay grows well in all climates. Wines from vines grown in cooler climates show predominantly apple, quince, grapefruit and lime characters while those in warm and warm to hot climates are more peach and tropical fruit like. Fruit sourced from the Margaret River, Pemberton and Great Southern regions is used to craft some of Australia’s finest Chardonnay wines, richly flavoured and textured, well-structured wines. Margaret River wines tend to be more powerful than those from more Southern areas, which typically are delicately flavoured and textured. Wines from both areas can show great complexity and length of flavour.
